Bride and groom kiss under a vine covered pergola

Amber And Adrian | An Intimate Affair

Amber and Adrian were destined to be together. Their love blossomed after meeting at work – which just happened to be a Naval ship they were both serving on at the time – as you do. They grew their little family and fell even more love, deciding to tie the knot just a few days before Christmas.

The affair was an intimate one with a guest list of just 35 of their nearest and dearest. This allowed the couple to interact with everyone, spending quality time with select friends and family.

The weather gods blessed their chosen day which gave Amber and Adrian the opportunity to utilise the Farm House grounds for their ceremony by the lake through to their first dance underneath the illuminated naked tipi.

You can see from their photos that every part of the venue was used for photos, drinking and dining, and of course, partying the night away. The elegant simplicity of their special day has provided us with stunning wedding inspo, and we can’t get enough of their gorgeous images.

THE ENGAGEMENT

Amber and Adrian met in 2018 while serving in the Navy on the same ship. They hit it off instantly and a year later Amber was pregnant with their first child. In July of 2020, two months after their son was born, Adrian took Amber out for their first child free dinner. Adrian couldn’t help but shower Amber with love and attention and after about 25 minutes of professing his admiration, he dropped to one knee and proposed.

Fast forward to 2022, and they finally tied the knot, with their son and baby daughter by their side.

Location

Amber and Adrian used the Farm House property beautifully. Their ceremony was held by the lake, with an elegant floral display by Arctic Fox Events, enhancing the already breathtaking backdrop.

Their photoshoot took them around the property with stunning captures under the pergola, by the pier, and in front of the gorgeous Magnolia.

Guests drank and dined on the deck of the house where Amber and Adrian poured a stunning champagne tower. When nightfall came, the couple took their first dance under the naked tipi illuminated by fairy lights.

The wedding of Amber and Adrian was visually stunning. Flowers and colour were at the centre of their overall look with beautiful blooms created by Arctic Fox Events

From the ceremony through to the cake cutting, beautiful shades of pink highlighted every moment.

The wedding ceremony was officiated by Leisa from Ceremonies by Leisa, which set the tone for a relaxed and intimate celebration.

Guests were treated to delicious food by Notorious E.A.T, with drinks taken care of by Silver Belle Events.

Food trucks are big hit out at the Farm House, and this wedding celebration took full advantage of the casual dining style which kept guests full and happy, ready to party the night away.

The couple used Gold Coast Tipi Hire, who provided them with the perfect setting to dance the summer night away under the stars.

music

Music played an important part in the couple’s special day, with Amber walking to meet her man to the tune of “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls, setting the scene for a memorable night of music and dancing.

Amber and Adrian chose an intimate moment to dance together as husband and wife.

In the most romantic way, the couple sashayed under the night’s sky. They were illuminated by the ambient twinkle of hundreds of fairy lights that wrapped around the frame of the naked tipi.

They danced to “Heaven” by Kane Brown. Wedding singer, Benny Hanna took care of the music for their festivities and guests enjoyed an evening of dancing and singing.

Amber and Adrian’s gorgeous summer wedding was perfectly styled. From the bride’s stunning gown and veil, to the modern, yet timeless floral displays, this wedding was a visual treat and one we will be sure to take inspiration from.

Dressed in a beautifully embroidered tulle gown from Madi Lane, Amber’s look set the scene for the entire wedding. The bride and bridesmaid carried bouquets featuring an explosion of eclectic blooms in every shade of pink.

The women were treated to the expert touch of Ellen and Liz from Blush’d Brides. Hair was romantic in soft waves, with the makeup subtle and pretty, with a summer glow.

Jewels were kept to a minimum, allowing the bridal gown and bridesmaid dress to take centre stage.

Adrian wore all black, with his best man in a classic tuxedo. The whole look for the wedding party was understated elegance with modern yet timeless feel.

highlights

Amber and Adrian considered their wedding day to be “perfect”. Choosing a small guest list that included their closest family and friends, the couple were able to have the intimate celebration they had hoped for.

“The night was filled with love and laughter and we were able to connect with everyone there.” – Amber

Choosing the Gold Coast Farm House as their wedding venue played a big part in the success of their special day. They were able to experience a relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful setting, which allowed their guest, including the couples two little children, to feel comfortable and free to enjoy themselves.

“I just knew straight away that it’s where I wanted to get married. It was just so beautiful and having the right venue and landscape was so important to me.” – Amber

A sweet highlight that the couple shared was later in the night at their hotel. It had been almost 3 years since they’d had a child free night, so they took the opportunity to slow dance in the peace and quiet.

Advice

The advice from our Farm House couple is to leave all  the worry to someone else, so your special day is stress free and memorable for all the right reasons.

“Don’t worry about anything on the day, everything will fall into place and if it doesn’t then make it someone else’s problem.” – Amber

Amber and Adrian also loved that they kept their wedding small, allowing for a more intimate and meaningful interaction with their family and friends.

We love taking advice from Amber and Adrian. Their day was exactly what they had hoped, focusing on the important things and ensuring they had just as much fun as their guests.

Their highlights were all about the time spent together, rather than external details.

“Walking down the aisle and watching Adrian turn around and seeing me for the first time. He had the biggest smile on this face and couldn’t hold back his tears.” – Amber
