What The COVID Restrictions Mean For Your GOLD COAST Wedding

Dear Guests,

We know during this uncertain time planning a wedding can be difficult. Covid-19 has taken us all on a wild ride the last year and a half, and with the uncertainty and pain this virus has caused we endeavour to do our best by our brides and grooms.

Throughout 2020, we’ve helped dozens of couples migrated through the global pandemic to pursue their big day. With news of further lockdowns on the horizon it is imperative that we work together with our couples to provide the best experience we can, and we promise to do our best to make your day as magical as you deserve.

As turbulent as times may be, Gold Coast Farm House is flexible for each circumstance.

Currently, you can have up to 20 people at your wedding in SE Queensland according to the latest COVID-19 restrictions on the Gold Coast. Dancing is allowed. As these restrictions are constantly changing, it is best to keep up to date with governmental regulations.

With snap lockdowns and border closures often giving reason for rescheduling we have and will do our best to accommodate your new dates. We understand you want your wedding day to be everything you have ever dreamed of and for that reason we are more than happy to reschedule your day to whatever available date we have.

In some cases, lockdowns have been announced the day of the wedding. Don’t fret, we have prepared for this. We will do our best to push your wedding forward so you can still exchange your vows in the way you intended before the lockdown.

Restrictions are changing day to day, with weddings numbers always fluctuating, we are happy to accommodate weddings of all sizes. Whether that be parties of 10, 40 or 150.  Have your ceremony wherever you feel fit and then celebrate with your guests on the deck or under the tipis.

Dancing and canapes may be off the cards, but we will do our absolute best to ensure you and your closets loved ones can celebrate your love on the beautiful deck of the house overlooking the valley.

Border Closures

With the recent announcement of the NSW boarder closure many weddings from northern NSW and Byron Bay have had to be put on hold. If you are still determined to have you wedding, we are happy to accommodate you and your existing wedding team to put on the night you have dreamed of. Your caterers, celebrant, music and photographers should still be allowed to travel for work, so we will do our best to host your night right here on the Gold Coast.

Covid Safe

We’re doing everything we can to ensure our venue is Covid safe to maintain the safety of you and your guests. This includes:

  • Hosting a sit-down dinner as canapes and family style buffets can encourage the spread of germs. We encourage a sit-down meal, where each guest gets their own plate to discourage the spread of bacteria.
  • We will do our best to socially distance all tables so your guests can dine in comfort and without the spread of germs.
  • A large dance floor. We understand dancing is not always allowed, but when it is, social distancing is still encouraged. We offer a large space for dancing to ensure you and your guests stay safe.

Don’t just hear it from us- read some reviews from real guests.

“Our wedding got majorly shaken by a snap lockdown in early July. Marcia and Jeff went above and beyond, worked closely with us to work around restrictions, keep us calm and still make our day the best it could be. Looking back we wouldn’t have changed a single thing, it was perfect! We’re so grateful for their flexibility and approach through such a hard time. We would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!” – Matt Carins

“Such a beautiful venue with plenty of flexibility. They were extremely helpful to my partner and I as we made some big decisions during covid. “– Todd Harpley
