CEREMONY

Jack and Jordan were married on a beautiful spring day on the grounds of the Gold Coast Farm House. They exchanged vows under the gazebo as their friends and family looked on with love and well wishes. The grooms were supported by their wedding party, made up of seven gorgeous groomsmaids and one handsome groomsman. Blessed with stunning weather, their afternoon ceremony and reception was everything they had dreamed of; beginning their life together as loved up husbands.

A highlight of the day for Jack was when he saw Jordan step out of the car. “This is really happening”, he thought, and so began one of the most memorable days of the couples’ life together. Jordan arrived in a classic Mercedes to greet his beloved who was waiting for him under the vine covered pergola. The ceremony was officiated by Jessica Dowell of Just Jess Ceremonies and the couple shared their personal vows.

“Wow, he didn’t forget to write his vows, and also kinda out did me…”

THE LOOK

Jack and Jordan chose a timeless look for their theme, with a modern bohemian aesthetic. Their classic suits complimented each other and set the tone for the stylish neutrals used throughout. Groomsmaids were dressed in silk slip dresses in shades of champagne and steel blue with effortless and elegant hair and makeup. The couple did their own flowers, using Australian natives for bouquets and button holes. They loved this special personal touch and the blooms looked gorgeous against the natural backdrop of the Hinterland forest.

Jack and Jordan chose to keep it simple with decoration. “It is one of the most stunning venues in the world…we didn’t over decorate.” You can see from their beautiful images, that they fully utilised the Farm House grounds and its natural decoration. The cream vintage Mercedes was also a stylish touch, with its timeless elegance proving a classic backdrop for photos.

Jack and Jordan enlisted the expertise of Rachael Enoka, from Love Tank Studio, to capture their special day. Her intimate and emotive style of photography beautifully expresses the love and warmth between couples. The colours and tones of Jack and Jordan’s theme worked perfectly with Rachael’s style, creating a harmonious wedding album of timeless and heartfelt images the couple will treasure forever.

THE RECEPTION

The couple opted for an afternoon start for the reception, taking full advantage of the gorgeous spring sunshine. Choosing the double tipi option with lawn games and cocktail tables, offered guests a variety of spaces to mingle and play, drink and dine. Grazing Box Co. and expert mixologists from The Irish Shakes, added a relaxed feel with mouthwatering grazing platters and delicious drinks for guests to enjoy at their leisure.

Guests were treated to entertainment by vocalist, Liv Dennis, with the couple dancing their first dance together to “Until I Found You”.

ADVICE

Jack and Jordan advise not planning too tight, and we agree. If your day is filled with too many details, more things that could potentially go wrong. Your wedding day should be spent in the moment, enjoying the company of your nearest and dearest, not worrying about particulars and hiccups. Jack and Jordan “didn’t over engineer it”, but chose to be well prepared with everything where it needed to be. This way they were able to enjoy their day as newlyweds, stress free. We love this advice.
