Our Favourite Ceremony Spots

Choosing the perfect spot to say “I do” is one of the most meaningful decisions you’ll make when planning your wedding. At the Gold Coast Farm House, we’re lucky to offer a variety of stunning ceremony locations, each with its own vibe, backdrop, and styling potential. Whether you’re dreaming of an intimate moment beneath the trees or a big reveal on the open lawn, we’ve got the space to match your vision.

Here’s a look at our favourite ceremony spots and a few styling ideas to bring them to life.

The Tallow Wood Tree

If there’s one spot that makes hearts skip a beat, it’s our century-old Tallow Wood tree. Towering, twisted, and filled with character, it creates a breathtaking natural altar for couples who want something earthy and unforgettable.

Use rugs and runners to create an aisle and designated spot for your ceremony. Dress the tree in floral garlands, draped fabrics, hanging lanterns, and more. Or simply arrange floral pieces around the ceremony area, entrance and along the sides of the aisle. Decorate the aisle chairs with flowers, ribbons, or whatever you heart desires. There is so much you can do to make the Tallow Wood Tree unique to your wedding.

The Point of the Lake

Our serene lakefront setting offers an atmosphere of calm and elegance, with water views that add a magical softness to any ceremony. The national forest creates a natural backdrop for your nuptials, and looks incredible in your wedding photos.

You are only limited by your imagination when it comes to decorating The Point of the Lake and making it yours. Use props like arch ways, arbours, plinths and of course, florals! Dress the space to suit your style and make the most of the natural beauty surrounding this popular ceremony location.

The Pier

The Pier is an stunning ceremony location with the weathered jetty acting as a fixed backdrop surrounded by lily pads, and gorgeous greenery. Choose to share your vows on the grass in front or take it up on the boards, like a small stage. Once again, you have the freedom to decorate the space in your way by adding arbours, potted greenery, candles, and flowers galore.

The Pier is also a perfect location for bridal portraits with so many vantage points for your photographer to shoot you from. Drone footage and photos are a must if you are using The Pier as part of your Farm House wedding. The results are truly spectacular.

the Gazebo

For a wedding ceremony location that is ready to go with its own decor, platform, and structure, The Gazebo is ideal. Grape vines wind their way around the white timber frame, with festoon lights adding a festive and whimsical addition to late afternoon ceremonies or evening photographs.

Of course, you are welcome to add more decor to this space, with garlands of florals, draped fabric, urns or candelabras. The choice is always yours at the Gold Coast Farm House.

Other Locations

With such an expansive property and a little creativity, there really are endless ways to use the Gold Coast Farm House for your wedding ceremony. Our outdoor locations are absolutely breathtaking, but the weather can have alternative plans for your big day. Fortunately, there is always a plan B available, and when love is the priority, any location is the perfect place to exchange your vows.

We’ve hosted beautiful and heartfelt wet weather wedding ceremonies on the deck of the Farm House, under the Tipis and Marquees, and in the great outdoors (with help from our stash of clear umbrellas).

No matter which ceremony space you choose at the Gold Coast Farm House, the most beautiful thing about it is that it’s yours for the day. We’ve seen couples bring every kind of style to life, from soft romantic and boho to bold and modern.

Your love story is unique and your ceremony space should reflect that.

Whether you want an intimate vow exchange on the deck, a dramatic entrance through the paddock, or a sunset “I do” under the tree, we’re here to help you make it unforgettable.
