Sammy & Jayden | A Romantic Celebration

A Ceremony to Remember

When asked about the highlight of the day, Sammy and Jayden didn’t hesitate – the ceremony stole the show. The couple exchanged their heartfelt vows at the point of the lake with 150 guests in attendance. The ceremony spot was decorated with beautiful blooms and the Hinterland weather was perfect, creating a gorgeous setting for the day’s formalities.

“It’s so hard to pick a single moment because we had the best day ever! But if we had to choose, it would be the ceremony – especially when Sammy walked down the aisle. We were so locked in on each other it felt like nobody else was there.”

Reading their vows to each other in front of all their favourite people made for an incredibly intimate and emotional moment, one they’d relive daily if they could.

A Wedding Without the Rulebook

Instead of following a traditional structure, the couple opted for a modern and romantic feel with as many personal touches as possible—puppies included! Their day was thoughtful, intentional, and true to their personalities. A change of outfits after dinner signalled it was time to party into the night!

“We didn’t really have a set theme. If I had to describe it, I’d probably say Modern & Romantic. We just wanted to include our guests and our dogs wherever we could.”

They even skipped the formal sit-down dinner, choosing instead to mingle, sip cocktails, and enjoy a relaxed flow with food trucks and gelato that had everyone raving. The cocktail style reception created a more sociable atmosphere with everyone loving the Italian delights from Fire ‘n’ Dough and the fun, sweet treats from Wheel and Spoon.

Songs That Set the Tone

Music played a huge part in setting the mood. Here’s what they chose:

  • Bridal Party Entrance: “Simply the Best” – Sidney
  • Bride’s Entrance: “Truly Madly Deeply” – Sidney
  • First Dance: “The Way I Love You” – Michal Leah

An Unforgettable Proposal in Paris

Their engagement story is straight out of a fairytale:

“We got engaged in Paris by the Seine River with the Eiffel Tower sparkling behind us. It was just the two of us and two close friends in this quiet little spot—it was absolutely perfect. Jayden dropped to one knee right as the tower lit up on our first night there.”

Why Gold Coast Farm House Was ‘The One’

Sammy and Jayden fell in love with Gold Coast Farm House from the very first tour. Even without a wedding set up, couples can see the beauty of the property and the potential in creating the wedding of their dreams. And with our friendly and experienced staff available at every step, you know you’re in good hands.

“It was actually the first venue we visited, and we booked straight away. The scenery was stunning, but we also adored Jeff, who showed us around. His passion and warmth were unforgettable.”

The couple felt especially cared for during a last-minute hiccup—realising they’d forgotten the rings moments before the ceremony.

“Marcia jumped into action and kept me calm. She and Jeff offered us their own wedding rings. Jeff said, ‘Don’t worry Sammy, 26 years happily married—they’re good luck.’ We’re so lucky we chose this venue and even luckier we chose Jeff and Marcia.”

A Moment They’ll Never Forget

“That first look at the ceremony—we struggle to find the words to describe it. It was the most incredible feeling and it’s on permanent replay in both of our minds.”

Advice for Future Couples

“People say the day goes fast and they’re not wrong. Stick together—don’t leave each other’s side. We’re so glad we stayed glued at the hip and soaked up every single moment. It really was the best day of our lives.”
