The Highlight of the Day

“Where do we start? It was the day of our dreams! Choosing Gold Coast Farm House to host our special day was the best decision we ever made. Jeff, Marcia, and the entire team ensured every moment unfolded perfectly. Their seamless planning process allowed us to fully enjoy the day without a single worry. And the icing on the cake? Jeff arriving unannounced in his convertible Mercedes, adding an extra touch of glamour to our wedding shoot!”

Keira and Geoff had a beautiful bridal shoot, photographed by the talented Brittany McMurray of Wallflower Weddings. They utilised the property to capture unforgettable romantic moments as husband and wife. Brittany captured the fun and playful nature of the couple’s relationship and the joy they felt on the day. Not only did they have a stunning daytime photo shoot, but doubled up with an evening version that resulted in some truly breathtaking results.

“Keira envisioned day and night shots, with two dresses to match. Just as we were wrapping up the daytime shoot, Jeff surprised us by driving up in his classic Mercedes convertible. It became the centerpiece of our night shoot, capturing the perfect, Vogue-worthy moment we’ll treasure forever.”

A Modern Garden Party Wedding

Keira and Geoff chose a Modern, Elegant, Garden Party theme for their wedding, creating a beautiful balance between sophistication and natural beauty. The Gold Coast Farm House provided the perfect backdrop with its lush surroundings and open-air setting, making their vision come to life.

The couple exchanged vows at the point of the lake with the stunning, natural green backdrop of the national park. The ladies wore a fresh spring colour scheme of white and pale lemon, with the men in classic black and white tuxedos. The palette was perfect for a gorgeous spring garden celebration.

In the evening, guests were treated to a delicious dinner by Farm favourites, The Italian Job. The reception was held in a medium marquee trimmed with twinkling fairy lights. The perfect November weather allowed festivities to continue under the light of the moon in our designated outdoor areas.

The Soundtrack to Their Love Story

For the reception, Keira changed out of her stunning fairytale gown from Luv Bridal and slipped into a elegant satin dress with a low cowl back. Still looking every bit the beautiful bride, Keira was ready to celebrate into the evening with her new husband and all their loved ones. The reception dinner was held in a medium marquee, with the couple making the most of the perfect spring weather by dancing under the stars.

Music plays an unforgettable role in any wedding, and Keira and Geoff carefully chose songs that reflected their love story. They made their entrance as newlyweds to an acoustic version of the joyful song, “Home”, by Edward Sharpe. This set the tone for a celebration that was filled with love, laughter, and good times. After a sumptuous Italian dinner and heartfelt speeches, the couple hit the outdoor dancefloor for their first dance as husband and wife, blissfully embracing to the sounds of “Spin You Round” by Morgan Wallen.

A Must-Have Wedding Vendor

One of the best decisions they made? Hiring a videographer.

“Wedding budgets can quickly spiral, but for us, this was a non-negotiable. Every moment, from getting ready to the last dance, was captured. These memories will be shared with our family and future generations. It’s truly priceless!”

We concur. Memories in motion are a must have for your wedding day and night. For many couples, the excitement of the day makes the time go too fast and they often don’t recall key events. A good videographer will capture all the highlights and precious moments that you will want to re-live time and time again.

If They Could Change One Thing…

“It’s a cliché, but our day was perfect. If we had to pick one thing, it would be making time to eat! We missed most of the cocktail food due to photos, then dinner because of night shots. Our guests raved about the food—looking back, we wish we had tasted more of it!”

This is great advice for couples. It’s easy to get distracted and miss essential moments, like the delicious food you chose for celebration! Be sure to stop and take the time to share a bite with each other and your guests. Especially when it’s mouth watering woodfired pizza from The Italian Job.

We love when couples choose the Italian Job to cater their Farm House wedding

An Engagement Story Straight Out of a Movie

Their engagement story is as magical as their wedding day.
“Picture this: a two-month Europe holiday, waking up in Turkey to 150 hot air balloons floating above an ancient town. Geoff organized a sunrise proposal with a local photographer who didn’t speak English. When the moment finally arrived, he was so caught up that he forgot to take out the ring! Keira said yes, and we embraced—only to realize the ring was still in his pocket. Oops! But hey, job done!”

We adore this perfectly imperfect proposal. Little hiccups like this only make the moment more memorable and unique.

Why They Chose Gold Coast Farm House

Keira and Geoff searched all over SE Queensland and Northern NSW for the perfect venue, but something always felt off—until they found Gold Coast Farm House.
“As soon as we arrived, we just knew. The lush surroundings, the privacy, the flexibility—it was everything we wanted. Then we met Jeff and Marcia, and their warmth and passion sealed the deal. The personalized experience they offer is truly special.”

We are so grateful to Keira and Geoff for hosting their big day at the Gold Coast Farm House. It is so rewarding when our guests love the property as much as we do.
