What is the difference between a Micro Wedding and an Elopement?
In general terms, an elopement is when a couple gets married without family and friends present. The idea of two lovers running away and getting married is both romantic and low stress. Many couples hold their official nuptials on holiday or in private at a registry office. Once the formalities are out of the way, they can choose to celebrate together, or with friends and family at a later date.
The Gold Coast Farm House celebrates elopements a little differently. While you can most definitely keep it to just the two of you, we also invite you to host up to 20 guests for your ceremony only. You’ll have access to the grounds for 2 hours. This allows you to conduct your wedding ceremony, mingle with guests, and take some fabulous photos in the picturesque landscape.
If you are looking for more than just the ceremony, our micro and intimate wedding packages will be more your style. These packages allow to host up to 40 guests on the deck of the house. Our renovated Queenslander home is the perfect place to share your celebration with your nearest and dearest. Lit up with fairy lights, the deck of the house becomes your private oasis in the middle of the Hinterland.
An outdoor soiree is still a possibility with a smaller gathering of guests. You can celebrate under the stars or choose from a single tipi or small marquee. These packages suit any number of guests up to 60.
ELOPEMENT: This ceremony only Elopement Package invites you to host up to 20 guests on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. 2 hours are allocated for you to utilise the grounds for your ceremony and photo shoot. Enjoy this simple yet beautiful package during January, February, June, July, and December.
MICRO WEDDING: At the Gold Coast Farm House, our Micro Wedding Package is for a guest list under 40 people. Your wedding celebration is held on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, with the reception on the deck of the house.
INTIMATE WEDDING: Our “Intimate” wedding package is also for less than 40 guests. This package is available for weddings held between Thursday and Sunday. Your wedding reception is hosted on the deck of the Farm House in an intimate setting.
SMALL WEDDING: If you are hosting up to 50 or 60 guests, you might consider a Single Tipi or Small Marquee wedding package. These packages allow you to host more guests in a spacious outdoor location. Your can celebrate your small wedding on any day of the week on the grounds of the Gold Coast Farm House.
